The Mystery Is Solved.

So I had this little... extension, that sort of stuck out from above the awning cover...
I had wondered what had come loose up there, and was figuring on climbing up onto the roof for a closer look...
Then: the July 4th trip happened, and we ran the air conditioner for a decent amount of each day.
Voila! We now know that it was put there in order to keep the air conditioner from dripping water down the side of the RV!
Will wonders never cease?

You should have asked, I would have told you what it was. I don't think it's just for the air conditioner, that area gets a lot or rain runoff as well.

I actually made one for my old coach not too long ago. My design is a little different but I'll take a picture later today.

I just thought that it was a piece of trim that had come loose...
I'm glad that I was wrong!

I wish mine had those on the front to keep the streaks off the front side windows!
It didn't look to me that there was an easy way to add some

If I can get up on the roof, and take some close-ups: it might give some ideas as to how to add something to yours...

I didn't get those or the gutters in my Thor Coach Kit either. Had to order them from Amazon 2 years ago. Been working great ever since.

Here is the "rain reflector" that I made for mine. It's made of a clear plastic and is almost invisible unless you're looking for it. It catches the water coming off the top and channels it down between the front window and side window(s).

Everyone is wrong Bob, those are actually RV air spoilers.... gives the top of your RV downward force so you can drive faster.
