Mystery switch mystery solved on JM31

We have a three ganged switch under the counter that contains the microwave and is just above the sink. We quickly found that the middle switch controlled the lights under that cabinet and the switch on the right controlled the lights over the dinette. The switch on the left was another story. We could not find anything that it operated. Finally fired off an email to Thor asking what the switch was for. We knew it had wires connected because we had taken the switch out to see. After a few days Thor sent us a diagram with the circuits highlighted. The claim was that the switch in question controlled strip lights under the kitchen counter. So armed with this information we went out to the coach in search of those strip lights. No strips lights. So we poked our head inside the cabinet with a flashlight and discovered a pair of wires with attached butt connectors just lying on the floor. Took a 3 foot long grabber and fished them out and connected a VOM to the ends. Sure enough the mystery switch turns 12 VDC on and off to the wire pair. Now to find my old supply of strip LED’s.

Look at it this way: adding strip lights is easy-peasey, and now you get to choose the custom colors that you want.
Take pictures of the completed project for us!

Or you now have easy switched 12V access to any other feature you might want to add. Lights under the counter wouldn’t much appeal to me after the initial “cool!”” factor wore off.

After adding strip lights underneath the passenger side of the coach, I used a piece of the remainder of one strip and put it under the cabinet in the bathroom. I felt there was a shadow cast by the overhead lights that I didn't like.

That’s pretty nifty. I have a 3ft leftover segment as well and the overhead light switch is right there behind the sink on my coach. I think of got a new project on my “list”!

You mean your "honey-do" list has room on it?

Well the list is long. But some projects get done ahead of others and this easy one is going near the top of the list!

I ran the wire up with the black tank vent pipe and tapped into the wiring to one of the lights.
