Narrow Zero Gravity Chairs

We used to carry a pair of Zero Gravity chairs in our class c and loved them. However there is just no place to carry them in our new Vegas 25.2.
The largest compartment (rear) is only about 22 inches wide. Has anyone found a narrow chair that will fit?

If you have a ladder get a ladder hook, a bicycle lock, and a couple of bungee cords. Works great!

Not sure about the storage compartments in the 25.2, but we have a similar problem on our 24.1.

The only place ZGC's (yeah I'm lazy) fit is the driver rear hatch, and even at that the two ZGC's that we have barely fit there (we'll frequently only travel with one, leaving the other at home to save the hassle of cramming them in there).

Thanks but the 25.2 is a rear slide, hence no ladder.

Nope the 25.2. Side comp. is shorter due to the rear slide.

Boy, talk about busting a bubble... Hadn't even thought that my chairs wouldn't fit in the 25.2. Back to the drawing board.

Are you suggesting the Mega Storage system isn't so Mega?

LOL!

Yup its mega but it isn't MEGA!

(Its sort of shaped like two Tetris blocks joined together with the left & right sides a little different. It is possible the ZGC fits better on the right side--but we have the BBQ there.)

Yeah, I'm very familiar with 24.1 rear storage compartment's shape. The storage volume may be high but utilization for large items like bikes, kayaks, or even a wheelchair or two is inefficient. If I was going to make any significant modification to a 24.1, it would be that compartment.

I kind of recall you once mentioned there was something functional under the night table between the beds. Is that right, and if so what? I'd like to see the compartment opened up to one big rectangle.

Yeah besides the two drawers there they run 120V from the genny under there, the plumbing to the bathroom goes by there, and the small heat duct to the bathroom.

Today, I had to move my RV from one CG to another here at Zion.....My Toad was already at new site...I stuck the chair behind the driver's seat of the 25.2. Plenty of room!

Fine for a short distance but we are looking for a chair that can be put in the compartment, and always be carried there. I certainly don't want them behind the seat for hundreds of miles.

Another option that may work for some owners is buying a large enclosed and lockable cargo carrier. Some are large enough to place 2 bikes inside, so large chairs shouldn't be a problem.

Personally, I wouldn't want to have a motorhome and then stick another 3 feet or more behind it. Still, you see them regularly at campgrounds behind smaller motorhomes due to limited outside storage for larger cargo.

That is our solution. So much easier to unload too!

We have the same chair storage issue when we take our beach chairs to the beach. They don't fit the compartments, and they don't fit our roadster toad. So, they go to the bedroom, either on the floor or on the bed.

To Mo_Mike and other shoppers: There are always compromises when choosing an RV. This is a minor inconvenience to us, and aside from that, the Vegas 25.2 still fits us better than anything else out there.

Ours ride in Honda CR-V easy in easy out! We also transport our collapsible dog fences vertically behind front seats. Again easy out and quick set up while we deal with setting up motorhome.

No, I completely agree. We like our 25.2, for us it is like having a two room coach. Living room and bedroom. So it gives the two of us and our three furry kids the room we need.

We also like the slide out the back. Easier to find parking spaces and I think it makes the coach more stable instead of a large opening in the side.
