Our rig was in the shop for 2 1/2 months for the first 10 fixes, trim, silicone missing, shower leaks, broken cabinet, kitchen and bathroom trim, wall in bathroom not secure (yup the wall was loose), torn up exterior trim. There were all sorts of problems that were not so minor that were found while cleaning and prepping for our first trip with the rig. Our first year was spend in the dealership.
Me personally I would not leave my rig at dealership for months for missing caulk, trim and assorted items I could repair myself. Not being critical but I bought my rig to use it. If I have the ability to make repairs I do so even though I have warranty & extended warranty for items I am unable to fix.
I would let the dealer know about the blemish on the fiberglass the OP found as it may lead to a potential leak. As far as other issues I would use my coach for the season then take it in when it would normally go into storage.

My thinking as well. I didn't pay $70K to let my Hurricane sit at a dealer for months because a piece of trim was loose or a window wasn't caulked. But I did let it sit at a Ford shop for a week to get the steering box replaced and front end aligned. Keep things in perspective.

The kind of money you spent on that rig and your gonna accept that?? Would you accept that from your car dealer?? Way does the RV world continue to get a pass year, after year, after year, after........ People spend hours on line researching a coffee pot purchase, but not one minute on a $100,000.00 RV purchase before they buy.

A little late with the rant. The OP says a claim was submitted to Thor by the dealer.

RVs are not cars and there isn’t the slightest reason to be comparing the two products. The flaw in this case is on a Freedom Elite which is the quintessential entry level product. I had one and it’s a darn good product for what it is. Thor seems to be taking care of it for the OP and it seems to me that everything is working out fine. Just
Because something is expensive doesn’t mean it’s top of the line.

I just blew it up on my monitor and It looks like a shadow from the fiberglass, the photo must have been taken just above or to the right and it looks like a shadow of the thickness of the fiberglass. if the photo was taken more to the left it would look like a wall of fiberglass. I wouldn't like it on a brand new motorhome but from where I'm looking I don't think there is a crack

Even cracked I’m not sure I’d make too big of a deal about it if it was mine. If Thor is going to do a really fine fix on it that’d be one thing but I expect they’ll just fill the crack with some kind of sealer and possibly add a dab of touch up paint. And I could do that much myself.

dropped the RV off just now was advised by camping world that they are going to remove inspect pre-bent molding on driver side check and remove for protruding screws grind down the fiberglass re-glass in bodywork area clean and mask spray the single base coat of white blend spray “ clearcoat and reinstall the den corner molding and apply all Sealants. It should take them a minimum of three days to have a completely done that is per my receipt from Camping World I’m kind of impressed on how quick they got approval so far fingers crossed I’ll keep you guys posted

Today was a great day ,I picked up the RV @Camping World Bakersfield ca ,the repair was perfect ( looked new ) drove over to the ford dealership down the street so that they can check out the "advance Trac service light " and they were able to put the updated software dwn load fix within 2 hrs and I was on my way home a happy camper ......I will post pics tomorrow of the finished repair ......ps the issue was a screw that backed out and caused the blem issue in the fiberglass !! Thx to everyone for there help and input on this issue it was very helpful !! On to our next camping adventure soon !!
