New Owner - Good Sam Club, Roadside Assistance?

Just purchased a 2015 Four Winds 28Z. No manuals or anything else. Never owned a motor home before. So starting to check out videos and such on how to set everything up and such.

My questions are:

Good Sam Club; should I join. I notice that Camping World offers discounts for members

Roadside Assistance; Should I purchase an RV roadside assistance package? They appear to be relatively inexpensive. If so, any recommendations?

Thanks one and all for any advice or responses

Welcome

Most belong to one of the roadside services

Mixed reviews on all of them

My thoughts. You can purchase directly. Go on line and price it yourself before you get from dealer. It may not be a bad idea for one year. Since it is a used motor home. Road side assistance is a must.

Good luck. There will be lots of points of view on this .

But your decision at the end.

My thoughts on roadside assistance: I've had AAA for years on my cars, and added their "plus RV" when I bought our class C. For redundancy, I have a roadside assistance plan on my State Farm RV insurance. Both are not that expensive - I have no experience YET using either. But I figure some day I will find out just how effective they are...

Call the roadside service and ask them if the have towing coverage everywhere. GS and AAA do not.

Ask yourself if you can afford the cost of a tow. The cost for a 35 mile tow for my rig last year was 800.00. It was covered under the chassis warranty.
