Newbie VEGAS owner wonders what brand of sewer hose everyone uses
Ok, I have read (a lot on here) and elsewhere on the internet. Been to CW and other RV supply houses trying to determine what is the best solution for a sewer hose solution. Not sure which brand/type is the one people have had the best luck with. Do you need supports? Is a clear connection better than an opaque one...
And here I thought I was doing well when we made the decision on which MH to buy, didn't realize that was the "easy" part

I have a clear 90 elbow I use at the outlet in the Axis and then to a Rhino hose.

Clear adapters (one for each connection) connected to Rhino hoses. The clear adapters let me know when the black tank is clean after flushing. Although my rear dump is gray only, I still use a clear adapter there out of habit. I also have a Rhino Y adapter to connect both dump valves into a single hose going to the sewer connection.

A clear 45 degree from the coach connection and then a Rhino brand hose (x2) works for me. Slight difficulty getting enough "fall" because the front of the Axis is so low.

Just a note of caution: even when the fluid running thru the clear plastic looks like all is clear, there may still be "deposits" in the tank. I installed a Tornado rinser on my Vegas and thought I would just "run some water thru it" in the driveway to be sure I had no leaks. I was suprised at what came out (No one used the toilet since our last camping trip and I did a complete rinse out with hose in toliet for 5 minutes when flushing the lines on our last camping trip).
Just glad the neighbors were not at home, blamed the smell on the dogs (they got extra treats that night for not ratting me out to the DW).

Yep, there is just something about "Poop" humor; either we have been there, done that and got the T-shirt...or will be one day - soon!

I use a clear 45 degree coupling between the RV connection and the hose. I have no idea what brand of hose I have, but I have 2 hoses just in case the sewer hookup is further away than one hose will reach. Both hoses are several years old.
I do not use any support for the hose and it works just fine. If I was a seasonal I would probably want a support.
I also have a Tornado in my black tank to keep it clean.

I use a straight clear coupling that exits the RV 'dump bay' through access hole in bottom - then connect hose(s). I have a couple of 10' lengths - the Rhino seems to be sturdier of the two. I do have the plastic graduated accordion supports which do help especially for longer stays.

I actually have two 10' sections and two 5' lengths of Rhino hose. With these I can go from 5' to 30' in 5' increments.

Here's another twist. Some folks really like their macerator instead of the "stinky slinky!" You might check that out before you buy a new hose.
