That will bring prices down and stop that inflation I'm causing.

EDIT comments like some I read remind me of a certain waterfowl common in the NE.
Very funny but right on!

Maybe I should clarify my post:

1. Inflation as it relates to the price of commodities is a direct result of an increase in demand or a lack of supply.

2, Inflation as it relates to the purchasing power of the dollar is a result of the government spending more money than it takes in or printing more money than it has assets to support.

Most of the posts in this thread have been about the price of RV's or other goods.

I'm not disagreeing, merely asking for clarification...

A LOGICAL question from a student in a college economics class:
Getting down to a VERY granular level, when the FEDERAL RESERVE (a private entity - it's not the Government) increases the money supply, exactly WHO is the first to raise prices - thus starting this chain of "inflation". It MUST start somewhere!

Federal Reserve is Government, it is not a private entity.

Federal reserve banks are a non governmental entity. Only the board of governors are government.

They are guaranteed(you won't find this on the internet) 5% minimum return on any dollars they advance/print.
So they have no reason to care about low rates.
If the rate is 1%, they make five times norm.
If the rates are 15%n they only make norm.

I don't care. They affect us all as equally as we are equal.

Can't that's a double negative which results in a positive or double follow.
