battery charging on 2016 Axis 24.1

Can anyone tell me:
1. Does the battery for the engine get charged when plugged into shore power or from the onboard generator?


2. Does the alternator charge the house batteries when running the engine?


I've read conflicting information about this and I just want a simple answer. I can handle the technical explanation but also want the simple answer.

On our 2016 24.1

#1- No.

#2- Yes.

As many have said in the past, best way to dwell is to get a multimeter and check the battery in the different modes.
