The best price I had found was a dealer in South Bend Indiana, just 50miles from the factory. Their price, $69500 with all the options including the upgraded A/C. They said that was the rock bottom price. MHSpecialists out of Alvarado Texas offered close to that. I opted for a dealer closer to home when I realized M/H are not like cars and I will have warranty issues. Thor advised me to buy from a dealer close to home. It would have cost me close to $2K to travel to South Bend and back so endedup paying a $1500 premium to buy from the local. That $67K price for the 25.1 seems a screaming good deal.
So far my dealer has been excellent and really seems to want to make it work for us.

So you are saying you paid around $71,500 for 25.1 with all the options at the dealer close to home? I just want to make sure so when i close the deal i'll be in the right area. All the available options and taxes too for $71,500? Thanks

Oh Wow, just noticed you were in Colorado. Which dealer in Colorado did you buy from please? I'm up in the Western Slope around Glenwood Springs. The only dealers for Thor i'm aware of are in Denver. Thanks.

I bought in Washington state. I purchased a 24.1 as the 25.1 were not released yet. The list price was $99,700. It has all the options except for the upgraded 15,000BTU A/C unit. Thor often has two dealers in an area, one offers the Axis and the other offers the Vegas. They are identical except the Axis headlights are horizontal and the Vegas are vertical...that the only diff.

Lookin'

New to site, like a lot of what I see in the Axis/Vegas. Like the 25.1 floorplan better, but havn't seen any pictures of the rear bed configuration when its not a couch.

Not too sure about that. Anyone know where I can google up a picture of that?

If you are in the Detroit area the fall Camper and RV show at Suburban Collection Showplace is only about a week away. Just go look at one.

Google: 2015 Thor Vegas 25.1 and you will get a Utube video from some dude at a dealer in Ohio. He walks around the unit and inside showing the whole thing including the rear bed config. I looks to me that it's always a bed and a couch. Has a L shape so you can use one side as bed, you know put sheets on it ect.

It would appear that our unit also has the passenger side mudflap issue.

Was crawling around under it today (connecting the straps for the cover for winter ) and noticed that the passenger side mudflap had some melted marks on it (from where it must bend backwards into the exhaust pipe).

Grabbing it with my hand I could easily push it back into the exhaust pipe. So now I either have to fix this, or take it back to the stealer and have them take a look at it...

I wonder if a product such as this will solve the problem:
Buyers Anti-Sail Mudflap Bracket — Zinc-Plated | Mudflaps| Northern Tool + Equipment

The dealer replaced my burnt mudflap with the thor bracket. They put a ugly slit in my molding and it is all warped. It looks like crap. I was at a rv show and I showed the thor rep. And he agreed.

Actually it looks like simply adding mudflap weights may do the trick. An even easier install:

Mud flap weights huh? Never knew they made such. Might very well do the trick. Let me know which you decide on and how it works out. Thanks.

Will probably start with the weights for a few reasons:
  • Inexpensive
  • Easy to install
  • If it hits the exhaust the metal weight will provide some insulation (and won't wrap around the pipe)
It is put away for the winter (although we'll probably make a winter voyage at some point to southern climes) so I won't know how well they work for a few months yet.

Good decision. Going to keep a check on mine and may wind up ordering some if needed.
It would be good to see another Axis on the roads down here. Don't think I've ran across one yet while traveling. I plan on doing some winter RV'ing this year.

This past week another 24.1 showed up in the storage lot where we keep ours. Its the only other one I've seen in the wild so far (even though the Thor rep at the camper show back in Feb had said they sell 5 or 6 of them each show. At that rate there should be a dozen or so in my area).

Yeah, you would think there would be more seen on the road. The dealer in Elkhart sells his quota about as soon as they're promised. Had to wait in line for mine back in July.
