New TOAD Option?
Has anyone seen a Moke on the road yet? We've seen these all over the Caribbean while on non-RV vacations; and never expected to see them in the US.
Interesting that only the electric model is currently for sale here. I can't see spending $25K (base) on a vehicle with a 25mph top speed and 40 mile top range, when I could get a nice golf cart for a third of that.
But if the gas model (Inline-4, 65mph, and base price of $12K) became available - hell, you could put that on a small trailer or dolly and pull it behind a Chevy van.

They are used as rentals in Solvang Calif for the tourist to drive around the city. They are the electric models.

Didn't they get sued and had to stop production? They were not produced for street use unless you customize it.

I came across an answer regarding the question of making a Roxon road legal. The concensus was that it's already pretty close to meeting the regulations, and it wouldn't be hard to compkete the job...

Yes, they had to stop producing/selling the older model (pictured above) because it infringed on Jeep's "look" (ruling last month). But they had already changed the look and styling with the 2020 model year so they are "back in business". They are sold as UTVs for off road use and have to be modified and multiple paperwork hoops must be jumped through to make them road legal and taggable.

I have driven then in Barbados a lot, love them, smaller than a normal North American car but bigger than a golf cart and they cruise fast.
