Is this for a 2022 Tellaro LT? We are stuck 2000 miles from home in an in operable Tellaro - no one at Thor has any interest in assisting us. I really hope this recall is somehow related - ?

It would be best if you gave us all the details you can so we are able to help.
A recall notice isn't going to get you up and running for maybe weeks.

Inoperable how?
Undriveable
Or
Just annoying.

More details=more and quick help.
Less details=we exasperate easily.

No BCC in your Tellaro.

Sure, I can give you details. I wasn't expecting you to help, I was going to tell the service center about the recall - but, possibly you are our savior:

Our Balmar won't stay charged when driving. It triggered the inverter and we have no power in the cabin for the next 2 weeks of dry camping we have planned.

When we call Thor they tell us:

1) take apart the couch (need power tools to do so) and reset the inverter. This does nothing

2) take apart the couch (need power tools to do so) and tell them what the Voltage regulator/second alternator reads. There is no Voltage regulator/second alternator under the couch we just took apart.

3) Oh no, their mistake, we need to crawl under the van on this hot highway to tell them what the Voltage regulator/second alternator reads. There is no Voltage regulator/second alternator under van.

Is this annoying? yes. Is this a major problem, yes. My husbands insulin needs to be refrigerated. So, we are now needing to buy ice every 4 hours since we have no fridge. We also are stooping to eat every meal since we have no way to cook or store food.

We are amazing we were stupid enough to buy this $100K piece of junk and took 3 weeks off of work to not get to do anything we wanted.

The quick fix for the insulin:
A counter top ice making machine and a $80 plug in inverter at Wal-Mart.
Solved and can be used in any vehicle or hotel room or emergency situation if a power outage at home.

Still not enough info for me to diagnose your problem
But
If you drive up to just about any stereo install shop they'll have it diagnosed and possibly running in under half an hour. It is possibly/probably aloose wire or popped breaker.

And about calling Thor: Thor is only the people who make the cardboard box/rv that system came in. It is similar to calling the cardboard box company your broken stereo came in. They'll be helpful but the only clues they have come from a script written by the company who built the stereo, and third handed to you by a $12ph person who probably doesn't really want the job of reading the script.

Don't let the Factory warranty rule you. It's handy but usually impractical. Consider it as a small percentage coupon too bothersome to use.

If $100 out of pocket fixes this, pay the stereo shop guy and get it fixed.
Warranty angst absolutely positively has DESTROYED a few rv owners.

And
It's taken a while but some of us here are cultivating a
One is none
Rv cultural change, and it's starting to stick.

The
Electric only rv you bought is indeed a beta test and when it fails, you're finished because it is only a single source/system.
Most of us have electric/propane/generator systems that back each other up.
The removing of redundancy and calling it an advancement...is pure advertising and enticement. Nothing else. No value, no sense, just preying on the greenies and scarfing up a few reasonable people in the rush.

Let's get you up and running today if we can.
Then I suggest selling and buying something with propane/generator redundancy.

Highly doubt I will find a stereo shop today but will try; warranty is not on my mind at all. But the costs for all of the hotel rooms is

Best attitude to have.
Few do.

This will pass.
No one has had to permanently park one. (Yet).
I hope it's just a breaker and you push a button and happiness happens.

Sounds like the Thor "help" did not take your skill set into account when trying to "help" you. The Alternator/Voltage regulator are on the engine. He was trying to get you to a place where you could read their output voltage. The possession of and knowledge of a Multimeter would have made this task very simple.

Failing the Stereo Shop attempt, try to locate a mobile RV mechanic to help you diagnose your problem and talk to Thor. This should get you going again and you can fight with Thor after the trip regarding reimbursement for the mechanic.

The stereo guys are so good at undoing teenage wire hack installs that I totally forgot about a mobile rv place.

Call a mobile RV guy right now.

Do you have the LI Battery system , by MasterVolt ?

Is it possible for you to test Shore Power ,& if so, does it work ?

What do you have as far as a remote panel for the Battery system ? If so what .
(trying to see how you know something is not charging & the state of your batteries )

If you read some of the Threads here , the Aux. Alternator is not even hooked up wiring wise .

If uncomfortable working on your RV , call & have it towed or better yet drive it there .
