First: Welcome to the Forum!
Since most RV issues don't concern the chassis: why do you want to install one?

Welcome to the forums.

Many people have installed the HUD devices which typically plug into the OBD-II port.

A few people have installed a new calibration (like 5-Star) which also uses the OBD-II port.

I've plugged my little scanner in and scanned my Axis with ForScan. The stripped chassis on the Axis doesn't have many modules on it (I think it had 4: Engine, ABS, trans, and a body module or two).

Depends on what you want to accomplish.

I have a check engine light on and I want to be able to read the code without taking it to a repair shop

Buy a code reader that works with your vehicle OBD port.

Some auto parts stores in our area with scan your vehicle, and tell you what's going on under the hood. Is that available down by you?

Yes, I use an OBDII bluetooth dongle with my tablet and the Torque Pro App. The dongle will work with other Apps as well. The OBDII port on your gas MH is no different than the one on your car.

I have this model....

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's a little pricey but works great. It has paid for itself 10x over in saved repair costs.

I have used it to read a code on my Magnitude SV34 on the Ford F-550. I used to it fix a bad NOX sensor on my 2018 GMC Canyon Durmax Diesel. Most recently I used it to diagnose and fix an issue on my 2002 Lexus ES300, which saved me $600 or more if I took it to a dealer or shop.

I have the $12ish obd readers in every vehicle.
I use torque Pro.
Torque does tons more than just read codes.

My Coach has an OBD port, but it has no power. Tried to hook up a tracking device and it didn't power up, so I tested to power pin, and nothing. Would like to connect a diagnostic and performance device, but nada.

Check your chassis fuse boxes.
