Oh... what are we to do with these Rigs?!

I'll preface this saying we had a great 9 day trip the first part of June. Now this trip is a total bust!
First night out we were in an unusually uneven camping spot. My DW used the auto level on the leveling system. The dang thing jacked the rear tires 4" off the ground! Stopped and refused to work again. (low voltage error) In the mean time the bathroom door was jammed shut. I had to take the door knob off to get in there. Three hours later, after talking to LCI, I had taken out one of my four batteries to try resetting the high amp (Flag) circuit breaker. That was the problem. I was able to lower the MH, then level using the manual mode. Got the slide out normally, all was good again. Then, the crank handle to the Fan-Tastic vent fan fell on the floor when opening the vent. (the screw is still missing)
Day two we parked in a high school parking lot 1 block from our kids house. Leveled up and proceeded to extend the slide (full wall unit) it moved 3-4" and stopped. Brought it back in and tried again, same story. Re-leveled, same story. I said forget it, let's just go to bed. Next day loaded up our grand daughters & gear, drove 2 hrs to camp site. Guess what? Slide moved 3" and was done. Since it was day time this time we could see only the front was moving. We were able to pull that little bit back in. Then called Good Sam's extended warranty line to get info on starting a claim (my DW had left all the warranty info at the house) They couldn't find our name or vin number in their system, go figure! They transferred us to Camping World who found the transfer/info into our names & policy number. I stopped at an RV shop today for a fix hopefully, no dice he said, you probably need a new motor. Waa waa waa... So, we are spending a week in our new "narrow" body MH with two G-daughters! YAY!

Well That sux!

Did you try re-setting the slide controls?
Find the controller: there's a button on it that needs to be pushed six (or is it 7?) time, and then held until the blinking on it gets... different!
Then you can try opening it again as you normally would.
(I've needed to do this a couple of times with mine...)

Good luck finding that screw!!

I found the control, pushed the button (6 times) led's started flashing. So, I went inside pushed the slide extend, but no joy. Only the front tries to move, then stops. I guess we need a motor. Of course our G-daughters don't mind. It's all part of the adventure!
I'm trying to take you attitude, Bob and keep a positive a outlook on the whole thing. We have extended repair coverage, so it's mostly just the inconvenience of it.

Call LCI customer support. They will walk you through some trouble shooting and hopefully get you going

I'm guessing you just need to resync the schwintek motors. I have to do this occasionally. The video shows how to resync when the slide out is fully out on one side and not fully out on the other.

The 3 times i've resync'd, the problem was just as you describe. So, you extend the slide about 3-4 inches, then retract. Do this 3 times and your motors resync and you should be good. If you've extended it to the point of binding the slide, you may have to get professional help.

Called already, sounds like she's dead. It's just disappointing to have continual failures.

We always hold the extend/retract button until the motors sync. Now the front just moves 3" and stops, no sync sound at all. Then I pull it back in.
Thanks for your replies guys! Very much appreciated!
