How about some sort of extended funnel?

Many many posts on this forum showing 100 brilliant to utterly stupid cures. (and just the northern tool catalog/store has maybe 15 store bought cures.)

Simple solution that always worked for me on the Challenger was to pay the service center to change the oil and filter. Worked every time and I never spilled a drop.

You have 4 choices:

1 - Get a funnel with a long flexible tailpiece that you can bend into a "S" with the funnel part outside and the tail into the filler neck.

2 - Get a 2 gallon pressurized sprayer. Put the oil in it. Cut the spray nozzle off the end of the hose. Pump it up with the hose end in the filler neck.

3 - Lately I've seen a battery powered pump device "as seen on TV" that may work.

4 - Pay an expert to do it.

It is about the worst design possible. Next time I do my Hurricane, I am going to pour the oil in using a 50 foot garden hose snaked thru the grill while standing on my head on the roof of an adjacent building.

Buy one of these for about $5. Cut the tube to about 6 inches. Buy your oil in quart bottles. Hold the bottle horizontally and flat. Easy as can be:

I use a regular funnel that I added about 6" of tubing. The tubing goes in the oil fill and it helps keep it in place. I pour the one quart oil bottles slowly into the funnel so it doesnt over fill and spill out I turn the bottles sideways. Once it is about half empty Im able to lift the back end up enough to empty the bottle.

Im tall enough to reach the oil fill while Im on my knees Gives me a good angle.

It is called the Hopkins 10106B/6 Flo Tool Spill Saver on Amazon. It sells for $8.93. It is listed for transmission oil changes but can be used for engine oil changes,

Somewhere in my signature thread is all the parts to put an oil fill mounted under the passenger mirror. Just flip it open and pour in the oil.

There are three projects related to this which need done first but the parts list is there and I have the parts.
It was about $30 in parts.

It’s a Hopkins 10106B/6 Flotool spill saver. Or you can search for “flexible fluid and oil spout/funnel” on Amazon. Or you can get one at Walmart, Auto Zone etc.

I once used a small pump which worked fine but it was an oily mess thereafter. So I threw it away and got the hose thing. It really is simple.

I second this. Works very well as it has a shutoff valve. Just attach it to the 1qt bottle and you are good to go.

I have a Hurricane 34F and use a funnel with quart containers. Seems to work well for me.

I took mine 34R to Walmart. They have an oversize bay for RVs. The easiest!
