Time to get out a voltmeter and start troubleshooting. There will be a circuit breaker near the battery that protects the starter circuit. If it’s in the correct position just start checking voltage downstream from there. Also check the grounds. Are your batteries charged? Does everything else in the coach work normally?

Hummm, No-! I opened the “step” and saw a “red” button, depressed it and nothing.
The other trick is the USE-STORE button I can’t figure out which way to use it to get the radio on. It’s purely baffling. All this after an oil change today!

Did you press the red Trip/Test button or push up the red flag?

Well, it has to be in USE to power the radio from the batteries. The same batteries that start the generator and supply lights in the RV when not on SP. Are your house batteries dead?

Sounds like you have dead house batteries.

Do yourself a favor and just check your batteries before you go to a full service visit. Are they fully charged? Is the Use/store switch in the Use position? Have you checked the water level in the batteries? From everything you’ve indicated it sure sounds like it’s just a battery problem.

It still sounds to me like a bad battery. Did you put a load tester on them with the engine off and no shore or generator power? If they are of the flooded variety have you checked the water level? I don’t think you have a “serious” problem since it does start and run sometimes.

How do they show fully charged? If you are looking at the battery status LEDs when plugged into SP or with the engine running then you are NOT seeing your house battery status.

It was the 100 AMP circuit next to the house batteries, it’s a yellow button/lever that had tripped. You just push it back in until it locks. The service person at Thor said it may have tripped when the generator was trying to start while I had it plugged in.

That's called a breaker.

And doesn't explain post #67 above.
