Outdoor kitchen sink drain

I used my outdoor kitchen for the first time tonight and it was great. Only problem was that the little sink would not drain. It has a stopper that closes with the first tap then opens with the second tap. Neither setting would drain the water. Black and gravy tanks are both empty. Any ideas? This is a brand new unit.

There is a rocker switch above the sink that when switched on pimps the water to your gray tank.

The switch is mounted and cannot be seen unless you look st the bottom of the cabinet above the sink.

A million years and I would not have thought of this solution or found the switch. Thanks! Worked perfectly.

Took me an hour to find that switch. The outlet is also located under there too.

The sink requires the pump since the sink sits at the same level or a little lower than the gray tank.

Question old thread - but...

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone know why on earth there is a stopper drain when one is not needed?

The sink fills until you run the masher... so why have a stopper?

When boondocking filling the pipe before the sink is a waste of water.

Think about it.

I was trying to figure out why the outside sink would not drain as well. I figured out that there was a pump, but I couldn't figure out how to turn the pump on. Then the short guy in the next campsite came over pointed out the switch to me. Sometimes being short has advantages.

The reason for the stopper is to separate the contaminated piping below the sink from the sink bowl. If you use the sink for washing dishes or utensils you don't want the dirty water in the tailpiece cross contaminating with your wash water.

It in my Thor MH manual's outside kitchen - the macerator operation section. It describes the operation of the sink stopper. It also shows the low point drains under the sink are accessed by removing the white plastic tool holder in the sink's drawer. Yes the macerator pumps into the gray water tank.

But, the manual does not tell where the find the switch to operate the pump.
