Outlaw Class A MSRP discount %

I'm starting to research Thor Outlaw Class A and wondered what is a reasonable "ask it" discount off the MSRP? Some dealers are advertising 25%. What's realistic -- 30-35%?

First, welcome to the campfire.

Realistic in a non short supply market is 30 to 35 percent off MSRP. With the short supply and high demand due to COVID you might be lucky at 20 to 25 percent. I’ve heard of some dealers sticking to MSRP and selling everything on their lots because of the high demand.

Good luck in the search.

I am not an expert by any means, but I assume it is just like the auto industry. Low priced cars have little room for discounts. 10% is about it. The more expensive, loaded with options, SUV, truck, Jeep usually have 20 to 30% room. MHSRV starts with 25% in-stock and special orders and then does 2% more in the fall and another 2% in January. Finally 30% off MSRP for coaches a year old.

Thank you both for valuable insight on what to expect during different market conditions.

Agree with EA37TS assessment of the market....

I see you are in Texas so you are lucky. Motorhome Specialists usually have the best prices in the country. If there are any deals to be had, your best chance is there.

As you will see on their website, they are already selling coaches that have not been delivered from Thor yet.... but they are showing a 25% discount for the most part.

You are where I was last year. I purchased a 2021 Outlaw 38KB in December. I searched RVTrader and looked at what the dealers with standing inventory were advertising. I had to travel to SoCal to find what I was looking for, paid around $169K, MSRP was $233K.

Ask for 30-35. The worst they can say is 'no'. If you don;t ask, it'll always bother you. Get it?

I agree... it can't hurt to give it a try.

For the record: we bought our Outlaw 29H at 30% off of retail...

We were recently in the market and most places had very little "give" on their prices.

Ended up going with a private seller.

Good luck on your search.

bought my 2021 Entegra Emblem with 32% off MSRP and paid no delivery fee - no idea how much that would have been. Most places were pretty much fixed on their prices until I accepted the above offer. When I turned down the other offers because I accepted this one, 2 or 3 of the other dealerships suddenly wanted to offer more than the above 32% to get my business - too late. I think 30% to 35% should be possible if you are willing to travel

Thank you all for the continued insight. Any preference between the KB and MB?
