Outside gas grill hook up

On my Miramar 34.2 I am having trouble hooking up the outside gas grill
The propane is on, I have hooked the hose into the outside outlet just below the outside kitchen. I cannot get any propane out of the hose or the connection, the propane works inside on the stove so I know the gas is working, any ideas? Is there a separate on and off switch for this propane extension? Please advise, thank you

If you look at your RV connection, Underneath there is a valve you must turn on for it to work. The valve lever should be parallel to the pipe for it to be on.

Thank you Guidrys, with your help I located it right behind the connection. I did see this before, but thought it was a pipe support, not thinking it was a ball type valve. Thank you again.
