If I had my choice - I would prefer the connected AFTER the regulator - and use a grill/other without its own regulator. I've already gone through several small (cheap?) regulators for the grill - while the RV built in regulator does fine... I have a new 2-stage waiting for the current single to fail again.
Hi Greg What's the quick disconnect type after the propane tank? Got a link to source? I bought a fire pit and need to replace the HP regulator end of the hose with a low pressure quick disconnect.

Connected after the regulator - I've bought them as part of a hose - but available separately...
Hose with connectors: 12’ Quick Connect Hose Assembly - Mr. Heater F271806 - Propane Hoses and Adapters - Camping World
Connectors alone (1 male/1 female) : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JCWJ9D/

I've had to use some adapters from local Ace when I couldn't quite find matching fittings...
Not sure what end is on the HP hose - but may be able to just adapt to low pressure fitting... (of course don't try adapting a low pressure hose for high pressure use...)
