Parking/storing rv

I just recently (Jan) purchased a 2017 Thor Hurricane 34J motorhome. We have taken it on a few trips and absolutely love it and have had 0 issues with it. It was in fantastic condition with only 17k miles on it when we bought it. So, my HOA lets us park RVs on our property if it does not obstruct a neighbor's view or if they don't mind....well we have great neighbors so that's no worries. However, I have a large lot that is not completely flat. I had a 12' x 45' cement pad poured to park our "BIG FELA" on but it sits on a slight decline...I would say maybe 20 deg....I pull onto the slab so the front is facing down the decline. I am curious if it will hurt anything if it is stored like that? We take about a trip, sometimes 2 a month so it gets plenty of use. Plus I use it when I go out of town to play softball and take some of my buddies with me so they don't have to pay for hotels. Am I ok parking it that way? Here is a picture of it sitting on the slab.

As long as you’re not trying to run the fridge long term you should be ok.

NOT unless we are using it

We don't use the fridge unless we are on a trip.

That doesn't look bad at all. I don't know about modern transmissions, but I had a 80s Bronco II that didn't like being parked on a slope. If I put it in park before setting the brake, it would be hard to shift to drive the next time it was started. I had to set the brake, then shift to park. That became my habit and is how I do it now on all my automatics. But for storing, your setup looks nice.

You are golden like others have said, if the fridge is not being used.

You could always try leveling it up; out there on the pad.

I thought about that.

I thought about that Bob but one of the service departments where I take it for service said not a good idea to leave it on the levelers for weeks at a time...to retract them once a week if I did that....what a pain in the ass that would be to do.

People leave MHs on levelers for months at a time and the leveler manufacture has provided guidance on maintenance when the levelers are deployed for extended periods.

I have the Equalizer Leveling System and I’ll leave my coach on the levelers for a month at a time. Exercise them the same time I exercise the generator and slides.

I did the same with the system on the Challenger.

The maint guide from lci states to oil the shafts if they are extended for weeks at a time to prevent rust.

If you are hesitant to leave it up on the jacks: leveling blocks wouldn't be a bad option for use at home...

I would just get some leveling blocks to park on then you don’t have to worry about the Jacks

Not a need to have item but it's pretty easy to build up ramps to drive the coach up on to bring it closer to level if you want. 3/4" severe weather plywood. No need to make it as wide as I did since I was also wanted to avoid denting the new asphalt. A 4 x 8 sheet of ply should be enough to get in to the happy area to pre-run the fridge (if needed).

Where is your power pedestal?

We did the same thing but we have a rear alley way so there is nothing for a neighbor to potentially complain about. You have very nice coach and it gives the neighborhood some character.

We have slight decline for water run off (just the opposite flow of yours) but it is hard to detect even with our electronic leveling sensor. However, I know it is there as the water from the ACs all ways run to the direction of rear alley which is perfect

Congrats on your new coach. Sounds like you are using as we are. I think of it as an oversize SUV with more usable features than a Navigator / Escalade

Parking for 28A

We are on an acre and have had a 15 x 45 pad graded and put down 3/4" gravel. We made room for a 10 x 10 shed for storage of garden stuff and camp gear (got that John Deere riding mower out of my workshop!).
