Peeling Pleather
The pleather on my dinette seat is beginning to show signs of wear (flaking).
I'd like to cover it before it gets any worse and thought about some kind of slip cover. I rotate the cushions but that doesn't seem to be averting the inevitable.
I'd prefer to grab something off the store shelf rather seeking out a custom solution - going through all that bologna. To the store, back home, problem solved.
Has anyone used this approach. If so, what was your solution and where did you find it?
Thanks.

If they have a hard flat bottom, like plywood or something similar, 12,000 YouTube videos and a $9 staple gun will make you an expert.
A trip to a fabric store or a bigger walmart will overwhelm you with choices.
No sewing involved.
Just a staple gun and a choice of covering.
It's incredibly easy. Similar to wrapping a present.
Your first one will take less than an hour.

They are soft on both sides.
My DW ordered these, but they are a pain! Always falling off/wading up. Kind of nice looking, but just a pain!

Not a 'bad' idea. Just looking for a more versatile solution.
They're soft with velcro on one side so you can't even flip them over. They sit on a piece of plywood but I was looking for something I could pull off and wash if needed. This is the dinette seats an stuff happens. Would hate to go through that every time they need to be changed out. I'll keep in mind though. Thanks.

Soft on both sides is a lot harder.
But
It boils down to a tuck and attaching some velcro to close it up.
Anywhere a stitch goes, a staple can go.
I'm not advocating learning a new skill.
But
A good look at it and it's all pretty easy.
A YouTube video might be worth watching. You'll be surprised how easy it can be.
I think a search of:
'No sew cushion cover' will turn up dozens of videos and many to most will feature removable covers.
For super simple, think of a shower cap big enough to fit over the seat. Staple a channel all around your new material, thread elastic, slip it on the seat, elastic side down.
As said above, the chances of a store bought cover fitting correctly is pretty slim.

I tried youtube and added the word 'seat' and a dozen 'youtube-suggested' videos require sewing (with no skills?) or the plywood/staple solution you offered above are presented. I full time with no interest sewing. There has to be something out there somewhere (he hopes). I'll keep looking.
Thanks.

The last video is the best suited for making your removable covers. Zippers and not a single stitch needed.

I use crib sheets on ours. I've used them since day one to avoid spills etc. They work great and you can toss them in the washer .

the material is very inexpensive and will not hold up much longer than the Thor guarantee. You can purchase the same covers from a Thor dealer, but you're spending a lot and just resetting the timer. I had my dinette recovered with good vinyl fabric for about $1k. Steep, but it is very comfortable and will wear well.

Have you called Thor and actually priced new covers? When I had the problem on my Fleetwood they said they couldn’t sell just the covers but entire new dinette seat cushions were available for $90 each. Maybe they are the same as the 2016 originals but for the price it wasn’t a bad option. Some folks believe the industry might have learned to use better materials since this issue is so prevalent. Admittedly Fleetwood isn’t Thor but it’s worth a call.
