Pictures of 30q generator.

I have a 2011 30q hurricane and I recently bought a Honda generator from another motor coach, however I would appreciate any pictures of how a generator is attached to a 30 q or other Thor motor homes. I know that normally it would be a onan, however any pictures would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Jim

Are you looking to replace your Onan or use the Honda as a supplement? If you are wanting to use the Honda alone you can hook it up thru your shore power connection.

We bought our mh in the spring, we are the 2nd owners. When the 1st owner bought it he bought it without a generator so I bought the Honda to be the generator. I am not (yet) worried about the electrical connection etc ... but I will later, right now I am just trying to see pictures of how to hang the unit under the mh.

Thanks

Jim

Even if you do not have a 30q, I would appreciate pictures of how the generator is attached in any motor home.

Thanks

Jim

Jim, a while back I took pictures of the brackets used on an Onan 2800 which was hanging from motorhome floor/structure above. I can probably find them if you want but I'm not sure it would help you much. It was under Winnebago Travato.

The Onan brackets were similar to the ones pictured below. Keep in mind as you proceed that Onans are designed to take gas from the vehicle's fuel tank, so access for fueling isn't an issue. Onans are also engineered to make it easy to do most maintenance from one side while installed.

I'm not familiar with any Honda generators marketed in USA to mount permanently in RVs; although you may have a model I haven't seen. Portable generators I've seen were usually mounted or stored in a compartment or platform, resting directly on a support floor.

For what it's worth, I looked at a Honda 2000 watt generator a few months ago to power my air conditioner overnight, but couldn't figure a clean way I liked to store and secure it while running.

Last one. Sorry it doesn't show more details. I was concerned generator was barely over 6 inches from floor.
