Pilot and flying j rewards members fuel discount
Fyi for Pilot/flying j rewards members, fuel is 10cents off per gallon till the end of December, 2022.

Been going on since August. I don't think it applies to the Good Sam discount which is 5 cents on gas.

I wasn't aware of the discount until I wend through the Pilot in Avon OH yesterday. I used my Good Sam card and got the 10 cents off per gallon and didn't know why until now. It ended up costing $2.599 per gallon here with the discount.

But their price is so much higher than anywhere else on the paths. All of them are interstate locations, which is generally higher than local stations just a few blocks inland.

I’ve seen their discounted price as much as 5 cents higher than the price at a local station right next door. We rarely use them anymore and have quit using them for diesel, using the TSD discounted locations instead.

$2.48 is common in Columbus Ohio today with no discount. Interesting to see how far prices will drop. Hopefully they stay down next summer... yep wishful thinking.

99% of their diesel sales are commercial trucking companies who have already negotiated their own discounted pricing structure. For the consumers, they don't care if you purchase there or not but they'll make a ton off you if you do.

Pilot/Flying J are a lot like Buc-ees. They seems to follow the PT Barnum school of thought. For me there is very little value in the 'show' if I have to pay extra for attendance.

TSD announced that as of Jan-01-2023 they will no longer have an agreement with Pilot/Flying J. TSD says that Pilot/Flying J is not willing to share their profits!

Old news for RVs. Good Sam forced PFJ to guit the TSD discount to RVs over a year ago. You could still use the EFS card but not get any discount. This is now TSD fleet trucks not using PFJ.
Good Sam and PFJ can get …
