Potential Fire Hazard 29m

Hi,

Our 2017 Windsport 29m had a potential fire hazard involving the main refrigerator.

We've had our 29m for over a year and love it. But like any house on wheels there will be problems. This summer we took an extensive 5 week road trip. There was a list of eleven issues for the dealer to repair before the one year warranty expired, most which were minor fixes. The list included a complaint that infrequently we could smell the faint odor of burning wood in the area above the main refrigerator. I had previously found 2 burnt wires laying on the furnace exhaust and another burnt sensor wire sitting on the catalytic converter, these were repaired or replaced.

The dealer found that the fridge had been improperly installed and yes that was burning wood that we had smelled. They re-installed the fridge and repaired the damage. Thor was advised of the issue.

It's been several months and I haven't received or seen any warnings or notifications from Thor for owners to be aware of this potential serious fire hazard. This might have just been a one off, but if not be aware that if you detect the smell of anything burning, other than dinner or a campfire, have it checked out ASAP.

Cheers
