Question about the refrigerator in a 2019 Thor Aria 3601

We have a 2019 Thor Aria 3601. Can anyone tell us whether or not the refrigerator will work, off the inverter, while driving down the road, without the generator running?

TIA

Assuming you have a residential fridge it should. That’s the primary purpose for the inverter. Did it in the Challenger and in the current rig all the time.

If the coach AC is not needed why run the generator while rolling?

Yes, it will. We have a 2017 Thor Aria 3901. The fridge is on an outlet fed from the inverter (along with your TVs and other outlets).

Ours is also off a 110 outlet but it only comes on when plugged in to shore power or running the generator. What are we missing? Is there a switch somewhere?

When not plugged into shore power...
Is the inverter on and are all outlets “live” with 110 volt via the inverter??
Is the fridge circuit breaker working properly, and did you check to see if it needs a reset?

Sounds like an inverter line break or circuit breaker issue somewhere

We must be missing something because our outlets, refrigerator, TVs are not working with the RV turned off unless it's hooked to shore power or the generator is running.

Ok
You found the answer. Inverter failure
Now, check all breakers. Especially the one on the inverter

Or, the inverter is in dis-repair

Thank you!

Thanks for your replies. After checking all the breakers, etc. our problem was simple! We had not "enabled" the Inverter on the panel box

A "senior" moment

We have only had this RV since November and are still learning and very much appreciate all the help we can get!

Define RV turned off. Do you mean no shore power and generator or do you mean use/store in store.

Use store must be in use and inverter must be turned on. Should be 2 inverter switches, one on the inside panel and one on the inverter itself.

In my rig the inverter still powers the circuits with Master Power off unless I physically turn off the inverter.

I think all inverters work somewhat differently. All invert DC into AC current, but it seems all are wired differently and operate differently. My Xantrex Freedom Xi 2000 came programed to work as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). It comes on any time there is 120 volts to the inverter (generator or shore power) and stays on if the power goes out. The only way to turn it off is to remove power 120 power from the inverter and turn it off manually. It will come back on as soon as 120 volt power is applied to the inverter.

My aftermarket integrated AIMs 1200/2000 watt has a remote on-off switch on the entry wall.
Inverter only comes “on” if it is manually turned on.

The outlets the inverter is connected to will not work unless the inverter is “on”, even when plugged-in to shore power.

So, the inverter auto-transfer switch will not function unless in the “on” position.
