Question Regarding Slide Out

I have a 2019 Thor Four Winds 26B. I noticed when extending the slide that a small plastic piece sticking out of the end of the roller is hitting the roller bracket each time is goes around. Can anyone tell me what it is and if this is an issue?

Thanks,
Dan

That actually is the nylon cord that holds your slide cover on the roller. If you can, push it back into place. I had that same thing happen last year with my awning and I had to order the nylon cord to replace it. Camping World wanted $1100 to do the job. I found a local Ford Dealership that also works on any motor home to do the job for $500.00. I made the mistake of not pushing it back in and it continued to come out.

Thank you Paul! I did try to push it back in, but it did not seem to move at all. Does the slide need to be in or out or somewhere in between to get it back in?

Try this from the roof with the slide in, maybe out a half foot.
Pull the topper material up and toward the middle of the mh, probably easer with 2 people if it's a big slide.
Pull till you can see the slot that the topper attaches to. Now lock the roller in place, try a Phillip's head screwdriver in the slot opposite end of the roller.
Try pushing the cord, moving the topper around will help.
Could be a lot of pull out 1", push in 1 1/2", etc, etc...

After replacing our awning fabric I figured out the trick???
More if this doesn't work

You will need get the tension pressure off of the topper and hopefully it will side back in the roller. Good luck with it.
