How do you use this forum?

I've been a member of the Forum and the owner of a Vegas for about two months now, and I've developed a routine as to how I use/read this Forum. I was just wondering how other people participate, so I just thought I would explain my way and ask about yours.

Daily I do the following...

Navigate to the Forum home page
Click on "New Posts" near the top of the page
This pulls up a list of all the threads that have had posts since my last visit
I open each thread of interest in a new window
Near the top on the left, I click on "View First Unread" and read the new posts

How about you?

I'm in more often then daily: I do a similar thing:
Click on quick links dropdown menu and click on Today's posts.
Then I go down clicking on each blue checkbox button to the left of the subject using the mousewheel (you can click down on the mousewheel--that is a "center button click") In chrome that opens the link up in a new tab.
At the end of that I have all the new topics opened up in each tab scrolled to the latest post.
Then I go through the tabs.
When I'm done I go back to the original search page and click on QuickLinks->Mark forums read

I usually check in 3 or 4 times per day. When using a browser, I click on the "New Posts" link and then look at the posts that I am interested in. Since I now have the iOS app for my iPhone and iPad I use the Trending and Unread tabs to navigate in the app.

I try to pull the forum up daily and look over to the right at "recent discussions". I generally spend more time on another forum from my old 5th wheel days. That brand and the resulting forum has well over 5,000 members with many of them full time RV/Travelers. I also check a national Harley forum.

I can spend the first hour or so of every day on these three forums. Ain't retirement great?

LOL! You don't need to be retired to spend(waste?) a lot of time reading the forums

First I changed my profile to show newest posts on TOP when looking at a thread - so I don't have to scroll down unless I want to see older posts.

If visiting the forum in my browser - I use the 'New Posts' link to see what's new... I found I need to leave that page open - and open any posts I want in a new tab - or somehow they vanish after a couple of peeks.

If just a few threads with new posts - I'll use the links on right for 'Recent Discussions' - but that list easily gets overwhelmed.

Any threads I have replied on let me know via email when a new post is made...

And to complete the monitoring - the sites RSS feed goes to my Thunderbird account to show me updates... Reminds me to come back over and check for more...

Easy to spend lots of time if you want... I try to keep up as much as I can - but still have a full time job - besides my RV.
