Sorry for the bad advice. I have a 2019 Thor ACE and was not aware the rear camera changed.

Rear Camera and lights replacement THOR ACE

I was able to remove the camera / light combination from the rear of the RV without having to remove interior panels. The light has screws on the back side and i was able to open the light assy. When i did, water poured out of the unit.

I removed the bad LED element and replaced with a LED light strip. Alot of work but well worth it. Thanks for help. The first picture is the production light with one element burnt out. The others are with the new strip and view of the Axxera Camera view in the RV.

Glad you got it fixed.

If that light had water in it I would check and reseal the other lights also.

Thor light sealing

Roger that! I put an external bead around the lights when i purchased. But i bet these lights have water intrusion. I will check tomorrow.

It looks like all THOR did was add gaskets to lights, External plugs etc. A little Silicone Sealant would go along way here on the production line. I know this takes time to cure and the production line must move.

I have read of other owners up North with Corroded under carriage's, I have started the FLEX seal treatment of all exposed metal surfaces under the RV. This is a very time consuming task, but i have eliminated any corrosion to the FORD undercarriage.

Depends on which RV you are talking about. Generally on the shift mechanism/linkage in the cab, although older ones could be on the transmission.

Rear Light Preventative inspection

Preventative Maintenance although time consuming will pay off later. I removed the rear lights on the RV. Clean off all the old sealant, and re-sealed. No water found. I also sealed the wood cutout behind the light to prevent rotting of the wood. All back installed and tested. Ready for the next task.
