OP asked for recommendations for a quality tool kit, not someone’s opinion on what they should carry.

Stay on topic.

Thanks!

I get a kick out of one post that suggested I get voltmeter and learn to use it. Being an Electronic Engineer, I knew I should have learned this in school!

There are a number of self proclaimed experts (in their minds only) on the forum that think they know everything you need.

The older I get, the more I understand that I don't.

Hey George/Lora - That looks like a pretty good kit. Do you own one?

After going back through this thread it is clear that the 2nd post is the answer to your question. The others are tangential to the original question and reflect a “wisdom of the crowd” perspective that Jaron Lanier believes will lead you to a crap decision. My bad for being part of that crowd.

You guys need to find another dealer. My coach came with a completer tool kit, a bag full of fuse of various sizes and types, a patio rug, a new guy black tank drain kit and a 25 ft water hose.

I think this is funny...and the other post like it.

I think I'm going to list my RV on craigslist cause it didn't come with a tool kit! Sorry...I'm trying to be funny without being insulting. Hope you have a sense of humor.

I think the jarod statement may be false about the kit.
It is true about building a kit.
It is not true about buying a prescribed kit where all the decisions have been made.

Jarod statements concern whether to make the handles blue or not, whether to include the hammer or not...the completion of a conglomerate when all decision makers hold equal status/ability.

Or he or I am horribly wrong,

And
it's.
Just.
Damn
Tools.
The philosophies are falsely applied when all that is needed is a VERY part time tool kit.

Focusing on what has been learned:
Hf is the place for value and serviceable tools for this very occasionally/never used, but prepared and packaged and sourced, generic tool kit.

Add your own specificity as thought/need/suggestion arises

The very beauty of a blow molded case.
If you lose a tool it is very much your own fault.
I suggest blow mold for field work.

I mounted a caster wheel to a tumbler(rock tumbler type thing)yesterday.
I improvised this because I didn't want to constantly diddle with adjusting the rollers to center.

It took 11 tools to mount one damn caster.
Some newbs would have lost three of those tools while laying in the dirt jacking with an inop leveler jack.

Blow mold savior ALWAYS double checks your clean up job.

Nice! I like that one drawer is empty for things a person can add.
