LOL...are you a "prepper"?? Funny...I just bought a wire tracer. I want to find where the "brake controller wire" that is in the 7-pin connector ends up near the dash. I'd like to "steal" it and use it for another purpose.

Lots to consider when deciding just what you want in a tool kit. First I call mine an Emergency Kit as I don't plan to do major surgery in the field, only enough to get me to help or back on the road. Weight can be a big issue if you're already loaded with the living necessities. Chances of having to work on coach issues are more likely than chassis issues if you stay on top of servicing the chassis. Unless you're boondocking in the remotest of locations, there is usually someplace nearby to buy supplies in a pinch. in my Kit it's a basic electrical meter, screwdriver assortment (robertson too), couple adjustable wrenches, pliers assortment, 3/8-1/4" metric/sae socket set, tape, wire, funnel, razor knife, screws, few small bolts, fuses and a zippered canvas bag for all of it. I also have a small compressor, tire gauge, lithium jump pack, drill and bits and an extension. All in I'm at about 25-30lbs maximum. Like your regular home, the longer you have a MH, the more you learn its weaknesses and what is needed to maintain it and have on hand.

That's how it starts and it just keeps going. I'm a gadget guy, I can't get enough

Unless you carry a spare tire you might consider adding a tire plug kit. And perhaps practice using it on an old tire.
