E15

I want to give everybody a "heads up"
I seen on the news tonight there is E15 gasoline on the market in some areas.
Make sure when you buy gas you aren't pumping that into your tank.
If your vehicle isn't set up for E15, it will cause a lot of damage, and I don't think they cover it under warranty.

From what I have been reading about it I don't hink you will have an option. They (our current administration) intend to force it down the publics throats. I have to run an additive in all my lawn gear and my ATV because of it.

Keith:
I started using premium in all small engines. That doesn't have any ethanol.
I know most of the service techs at the local John Deere dealership. They told me that the lower grade gas with ethanol blend was there best friend in the repair dept.

Interesting. In my neck of the woods premium has ethanol - or most does. Finding without is a challenge...

In some areas, stations make a BIG deal out of advertising "NO Ethanol" Gasoline for sale. Could become interesting because as far as I know, Ethanol does not give the same engery, thus mileage as straight gasoline, so if they increase the percentage of ethanol it will decrease the overall fleet mileage number that the Government keeps raising.

Do you think maybe the government is stupid? More ethanol definitely means less power and lower mpg, so lets add more ethanol and then up the fleet mpg. Washington is full of idiots. Sorry, tired of this crap and had to vent!

Ethanol is a scam. Years ago when gas was a 1.75 it took 3.25 worth of fozzil fuel to make one gallon of Ethanol no telling what it cost in todays world. Remember back in the 70's when they took the lead out of gas and how many valve guide and seats the unleaded gas ruined.

And don't forget all the government subsidies (read taxpayers money) that goes into getting it produced and used. This is one of the biggest scams ever perpetrated on the Amrican taxpayer.

It's starting to get a little political in here. Let's try to get back on track to the original reason for the post. Admin is asking us to try and not get political on the boards please. Thanks!

Wasn't trying to get political, just pointing out the problem, that ethanal is a marginal fuel at best. Sorry if misunderstood.
