Replacement for failed ACE door lock (affects some other models)

The 060-1650 I got a couple of years ago to replace the broken one, broke exactly the same way last night. It's not steel. Well, almost exactly. This time besides the broken pot metal plunger there's a smallish black plastic piece also broken in two.

No answer on the phone, and their website says the 060-1650 plunger is made of zinc allow!

Somebody posted about a repair kit avaliable from a 3rd party to replace the plunger with a stel one, but the link is dead.

Anybody got a good idea?

I had the sam issue with my 2016 ACE30.1. I purchased a repair kit on Ebay for $55. It comes with a steel plunger and a new spring. Fits right in the OEM door latch/lock assembly. This is for Trimark 060-1650 door latch.
