Replacement Furniture

Can anyone provide a link or point me in the right direction for replacement sofa and dining set for a 2013 Thor Challenger 36FD? We want to replace with a cloth version instead of the pleather. We've been to CW and 2 other local RV places and none of them seem to he able to provide us with furniture that they will guaranty to fit. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much

Shop4seats is a manufacturer of rv furniture(captains chairs, sofas, recliners, dinettes sets...). They are not cheap but make good quality items.

new sofa question

We have replaced the bed in our ACE. That was well overdue as the OEM mattress was horrible.
That was an easy install as the replacement mattress comes compressed and rolled up.
Now we have also been contemplating replacing the highly uncomfortable jackknife sofa for some time now. We have kicked around recliners, but we think we would like to keep the option of sofa/bed. My question for you boys & girls that have changed out your jackknife sofa. How hard was it to get the old one out the door & the new one in? We have picked out a sofa from Shop4seats just haven't pulled the trigger as I am leery of how to get it out and in.
All comments or ideas are welcome. I would like to get this done before camping season starts around here.
TX Mark

I would first contact Shop4seats first to see how it is sent to you to determine how wide it is to fit through your door. They make rv furniture and hopefully will have it broken down enough to fit a rv size door for you to reassemble it inside your motor home. They have great customer service. I went to their La Habra Shop a few years ago when I had our MB Class C coach and was thinking about buying the buddy seat they make that fits between the driver and passenger in the front. I was able to go into their facility(with an appointment) to see one that was already made as well as I was able to see all of their motor home/trailer couches/chairs they offer.

TX Paul,
Good idea to give Shop4Seats a buzz. Getting the old one out isn't going to be that big an issue. A little help from a g-son and the sawzall, it'll be gone.

Suggesting to have them reupholstered at an upholstery shop. We had the bonded leather that was peeling from our seats in our 2016 Thor Challenger- 37KT. The upholstery shop has so many other colors and options and did a superb job and a better quality of material.

I used RecPeo to replace the jackknife sofa and both dinette booths in my 2014 Thor Palazzo

Both were “infected” with the flaking “leather.”

While everything related to RVs tend to be pricey, all pieces fit perfectly and are definitely improvements to the OEM pieces.

Definitely recommend you at least take. Look at them for your needs.

“RecPro”

Sorry -auto correct strikes again.

I would suggest not reupholstering the RV stuff or buy anything from Elkhart or nearby for the most part residential furniture will replace the StuFF from the RV. Buy a good qulity well built product and go on down the road.
