Could you tell me what those 3" rubber hoses are with the steel reinforcement near your batter? Somehow when i was on the road the wire reinforcement made its way out of my fender and then i was dragging it down the road. One of the hoses is totally gone and i can't seem to figure out what it or they were for.

(See Jamie's answer in the other thread where you posted about this.)
By the way: Welcome to the Forum!

Ok, we've owned our Vegas 24.1 for about 2 weeks now and I confess to not even looking at the engine battery.
So, sounds like Thor built the coach around the chassis without access to the battery? Is that correct?

You are kind of correct [emoji3526]
I think that if you turn the right wheel you may be able to get at it... I have not tried yet. Unscrew the passenger side desk and find the access hole... that is the other way to access it.

Look up Ed Felker's manual that he wrote on the 24.1 Axis/Vega

Sort of.
You access the battery by taking out the passenger desk.
It's a bit wonky, but if you change batteries twice in ten years there might be something wrong. (there's pics in my thread of the hole you access and the braces I made.)
The battery will easily move either behind or in front of the passenger front wheel with just a bit of bolting on of a sturdy metal box and longer battery cables.
Mine is all set up, box is in, holes, grommets a wireless remote cut out/isolater bought, a fancy Guage with a shunt bought... I've decided to not move the battery until it presents a problem(because then I have three other projects/mods involved).
Or
Someone posted pictures of the hatch he cut into the passenger side just below the mirror so he could access the battery. (one of the 'move the battery' projects is to do this hatch and add a bin where the battery was)

But.
There's a post somewhere in my thread showing the jumper cable hookup I have that let's you jump from under the hood.
Jamie or Nach has one also... Maybe?

But
I've had to jump it and just hooked up at the house batteries and did a back feed through the emergency start button.

So yes, wonky, but not stupid wonky.

True, the you shouldn’t have to replace the battery that often, if (and its a big “if”) you make sure to keep the water levels up in your batteries. For the engine battery that probably means installing a watering system because it is so difficult to access the battery.

Now I have to start looking to add a watering system.
