Replacing jack-knife sofa with wall hugger recliners

Thanks to all the wonderful people who responded to my question in regards to replacing our jack-knife sofa with wall hugger recliners. The advice was great and very helpful. My situation is we have the 27.2 ACE and the jack-knife sofa is behind the passenger seat of the cab. The problem I’m finding out is the wall hugger recliners need approximately 4” clearance from the wall. We have a ledge and a wall behind our sofa that houses the outside TV. The distance from that wall and ledge is already 7” into the living room space. I’ve researched other floor plans and see some only have a ledge or are a different configuration that allow the recliners to extend fully. Our sofa is directly across from the dream dinette. I’d like to hear more input as to suggestions or anyone that has a 27.2 or knows someone that does. We are newbies to the RV scene and this is our first one. We went with a smaller unit due to the turning radius to back the RV into our driveway due to a utility pole at the edge of our driveway and the street. I have back issues and prostate cancer that went to the bones and find it hard to get comfortable sitting for any length of time. I guess we’re spoiled by our Lazy Boy recliners at home where we can adjust them back to a comfortable position. I’m finding the Forum to be the best advice out there. The great people who give the advice and knowledge exceeds anything the salesman or dealers can provide. I know it’s impossible to know everything about every RV they sell. The people who know the most are the ones who own them and have found out valuable information from the Forum or “the hard way”. LOL! That’s usually the most expensive way right? Any input would be appreciated. Thank y’all and all y’all! God Bless. Cliff and Kathy.
