RV Fridge How long will it stay cold- without power

All, a question of curiosity got home from my weekend trip yesterday took everything out of the Fridge/Freezer and shut down the Fridge. Walked out a few minutes ago expecting to have to clean out condensate from the freezer and it still cold and the frost/ice hasn't melted. Its either really well insulted or its somehow still on... RV is plugged into the house for lights etc. The Fridge light "On" button is not light Its been about 20 hours since I emptied it.

Are they that well insulated? Its the Dometic RV fridge in in a Freedom Elite.

Thanks,
Larry

They're about as well-insulated as a fairly decent cooler...

Did you turn in OFF? Or to GAS? On our Dometic when the fridge is on GAS there are no control panel lights on. OFF is between AUTO and GAS.

Great Question I will go check! Would the exterior of the RV near the fridge be warm if it was running on Propane?

Edit: I have two buttons
1. On/Off
2. Auto/Gas

I assumed if I turned button one to Off it wouldn't matter if sett o Auto Or Gas?

Thanks!

I also have a 30FE. If the fridge is running on propane, the on/off light should be illuminated, and the auto/propane should show what looks like a water drop when pressed.

We always turn the fridge off, empty it completely, and leave the doors open until it's fully defrosted and we've completely dried the interior, then leave the doors ajar to keep mold from forming.

I lost my beautiful full body painted fridge vent/access on the road. With a mega storm coming I decided to turn off the fridge and tape plastic over the open outside. I was surprised to find both freezer and fridge acceptably cold 4 hours later when I got home. I expect it might have been different if that side of the coach was subject to bright summer sunshine on a hot day.

Thanks Ed that's helpful; I am guessing it was just not very hot in VA today so it stayed cold..
