Foolish endevour to try and make it uniform or even common.
It Would lead to another $10,000 tacked to every low line rv to pay for placation of people who can't work a tankless water heater, who think a gelcoat crack is a structural flaw, complain of sawdust, water spotted decals and weigh tow capacity to the ounce.
The '30 days to repair' structure of some state laws would lead to some very very shoddy work, a jam of folks in the shop for their sawdust problem and the shut down of many dealers who wouldn't want the headache of a service center.
You can't give the
'terminally entitled folk'
additional rights.
Current Lemon laws, or their essentially the same resolutions by manufacturers are enough.
Can you imagine if rv lemon laws got campaigned like anti smoking TV ads, motorcycle accidents or slip and fall?
You can however, give those folks an all inclusive warranty for a year, offer them front row immediate shop time for a large price, and then off them an extended warranty.
OH... Wait.... Those 'my loud doghouse is making me socially inviable' lemon law type folks won't pay for that.
I'm thinking if you offer the dealer you buy from $10,000 more than he asks for, you'll get into the service department in a minute and parts overnighted...if that's the deal you make.
