You may want to check
Last week while changing out my taillights I decided to check the screws on the rear of the rig. When I got to the ladder there was a surprise.
The second screw I turned, the head broke off with little pressure. The final tally 11 of the 24 screws were defective including 3 on one support. I'm not a structural engineer but i suspect the torque alone would have caused some pretty serious damage to both the RV and me if it had broken loose.
The replacement screws are 1" #8, preferably stainless steel. I've yet to find an exterior rated screw or bolt on my Vegas.
If you haven't already you may want to check your RV's.
