rv travel maps

I've gotten away without using a rv road app on my last two trips and I'm wondering what you all do for traveling down the road.

Do you use an app or trust that you see no obstacles for an rv?

I use a Garmin GPS unit - 890, I think. Not so much about obstacles for an RV as the fact that I can see it, see the speed I am going especially, because it is big and visible in the blinding light of the driver's seat. It also gives me interesting info like altitude and gas prices, traffic conditions. The routing can be a little problematic so I use Google or Waze on the radio too.

We use an old Garmin 3590 for most of the time. We carry the Rand McNally 2024 Deluxe Motor Carrier's Road Atlas which my wife uses to keep me out of trouble.
