RV Water Pressure

Hello Everyone
I have a question that I have asked a few people only to get different answers. What should I set my pressure regulator to for water pressure for my Class C motor coach? I have a tankless water heater that says the min should 45 psi, but everyone tells me I should have it set to 35 psi as not to damage the water lines? Any thoughts?

Thank You

On newer rigs (since 2010 at least - likely back further) - no issue running 45-55psi for the water regulator...
35psi was guideline for older rigs. You will see different 'fixed' pressure regulators - one near 35 and one near 50 - and of course the variable that lets you choose.

I usually run mine between 55 lbs. and 75 lbs. I haven’t had a problem yet

After a VERY Expensive lesson...
We hook to a shore/campground water supply only long enough to fill the fresh water tank, then unhook and store the hose..
Use the onboard 12v pump and draw from the onboard board fresh water tank exclusively ....

I use a Camco non-adjustable regulator. It seems to give me about 55 psi...

I tried this last week. The shower experience was much better.

Thanks everyone for the information. Adjusted mine to 50 psi and is working much better. Will probably adjust it to 55 psi and leave it there.

The specs for Thor call for the following pressures;
COLD = 1/2" I.D. PIPE
HOT = 1/2" I.D. PIPE
WATER LINES:
SDR9 PEX-A, CSA APPROVED
1/2" I.D. POTABLE
160 PSI @ 79.4F
100 PSI @ 180F
80 PSI @ 200F

Thor Specs are hose rated numbers...the connections is why you need to stay at 55-60 PSI. Depends on who "squeezed the crimper" that day.
