2023 Sequences 20J Dual Lithium House Batteries

Hey everyone

I'm considering the purchase of a new 2023 Sequence 20J. I'm trying to understand the electric and power listed in the standard features

Once unit I looked at specifically listed the ReLiable Lithium package as an option... this unit does not... which isn't a deal breaker. But I see listed:
  • Under hood Generator (Alternator)
  • Dual Lithium House Batteries

Is the same as AGM batteries? I'm trying to better understand. I'll be boondocking mostly and wonder how much charge I'll have and how and how often do I need to recharge.

Thanks so much for any additional info provided.

Clay

Hola Clay, and welcome to the forum.
You may want to read up on or watch a few videos about electrical systems of RVs to get a basic understanding as this will make your RV life much more pleasant.

Your question about "charge" probably relates to something known as battery capacity vs system draw, and the answer is really "it depends".

Imagine your camper as a Flashlight... You put a battery in, turn it on, and it illuminates stuff. For how long? Like I said, depends... in my simplified example, how powerful of a battery, and how bright the bulb. A smaller battery will be empty quicker, but if you turn down the brightness, it may last longer.

How long before you have to recharge depends on those two things. Plus, your camper may come with solar panels which, if your energy usage is humble, could be able to fill up the Batteries for almost unlimited boondocking.

Hi and thanks for the reply... you are correct I've spent the last couple hours researching to try and understand the different power systems and I think I have better grasp of them.

I appreciate the info.
