2011 hurricane 30q - roof

Hello I am getting ready to clean my roof does anyone know if my rv has a rubber or vinyl roof? Not sure what the difference is, however I want to make sure I use the correct cleaner, plus later if I need to make repairs I would like to know which roof I have .

If your roof feels textured and kind of like plastic you have a TPO roof. Simple Green and water with a brush works great for cleaning TPO, go easy around the caulking.

Thanks super d, is tpo, vinyl or rubber, or something else? I would a kit of cleaning products for an rv and o=want to know whether to use vinyl or rubber cleaner.


Also, how often do you clean your roof?

If your roof is TPO, just soap and water. I doubt any of the stuff in your kit would hurt anything, TPO is pretty tough stuff.

When I was looking at a used 30Q a while back, I researched Thor archives to see which type of roof they were using around 2011 or 2012, and if I recall correctly (????) that's around the time when they switched materials, but can't be sure.



By the way, these membrane roofs were common on all RVs, not just the 30Q.
