Shopping for road side assistance,,,

Looking at Good Sam road side vs FMCA. Am I right in either plan in that you would still need to pay for a tire if one was needed the service delivers and installs? I feel like we need something out on the road and am wondering what type of experiences with either that folks have had.

Thanks
JJ

You are correct in your assumption. GS gives you a pretty good first year rate but look at the jump for the next year. We're letting our GS expire next month and joining FMCA and subscribing to their plan; we'll be many dollars ahead that way.

Is this the FMCA being mentioned?

I have only had GS and have for many years. I have used is a few times over the years with really no problem. There are only so many repair-tow company's around be it GS or FMCA or some other they all have to use the same company's. When looking check out what the fine print says for how far they will tow. I believe GS is to the first place that is a qualified repair facility.

what year model is your E series?
maybe you're not aware, Ford gives roadside service for a while, i think it's 5 years because mine is up this summer.
It's Ford, but the service is provided by contract through coachnet...their most basic level program as I recall. Coachnet, by the way used to at least be considered one of the better (or best) service...according to many folks on another forum I participate on.
I used it once to put my spare tire on after a blowout. No complaints

Check with Coachnet, had it for years and never a complaint, and it seems they offer the most for what you pay.
