The Shore Power Cable.

Does anybody have a specific technique for winding this thing back into it's storage spot?
I've been wrestling with mine for years now, and am still trying to find the "best" way to put it to bed...

Nothing earth shattering for me. I just start with the plug end and roll it up, as if it were on a hose reel, and just lay the coiled up cable flat in the storage area. Doing it this way also allows me to keep twist out of it.

I set ours out through the little window provided in the bin, the circular plug, then close the compartment door for the stay.
I understand the pain Bob is asking remedy for.
Sorry if I am not much help, but I find pulling it back through entirely first helps, then coil it/stow it like coachray says here.

The part I dislike, is after or during the rain, then some mud is involved! LOL

I should have provided some of the Back-Story...
In the past: I have started at the plug, and wound it back to the rig...
The problem?
I was always working from the "wrong end of the cable"
With the new rig: I'm trying something different...
When I'm winding the cable up for storage: I start at the power bay.
I open up the "trap-door", and start making loops of cable in the bay. I wind it up as I go, and the plug ends up sitting on the top of the pile: ready to be used as a starting point for the next time I need to wind it out.

But it's a cramped area, and does take longer. Has anyone found an easier way to do this?

Wink

You guys need to get into the 21st century. My rig uses Bluetooth power, TV and water connections. No need to fool with those messy cords and hoses.

Not rocket science: I start with the end I'm holding and coil it up and put it away (yeah yeah "what if I'm in the middle?" well genius: I fold it in half).

Not worth it to put much more thought into it then that...

I agree: it's not much more than a tiny detail...

But that's how my dang brain works!

But I am going to check out the Blinker Fluid aisle, and get some bluetooth cables and hoses!

You would think a Tiffin would have an electric retracting cord reel built in:

I've only got the Class C Wayfarer: probably not enough room for that...
But I would think that they've got them in their Zephyrs...
