You can remove the shower head and take out the reducer. Most shower heads have a plastic reducer inside to restrict the water flow. This may not be true of the one in your RV if it is special made for the Rv industry. This is assuming your water pressure is adequate from your pump or water source as should be seen at your other faucets.

Removing the reducer will help a little. Lots of owners, myself included, have purchased the Oxygenics shower head. I think the Oxygenics works better, third one I’ve purchased, one for previous coach, one for this coach, and one for the house.

If you can remove the reducer, and replace it with one of a smaller diameter: that should increase your pressure...
But there are limits to what can be done in this regard...

I can confirm that this upgrade does a great job of providing a nice strong shower. It's available in 3 finishes.

Do you have a tankless Girard water heater? I had the same problem and often it would not work and produce hot water at all because the water pressure coming out was so low. Had many fights with Thor over this not working on my new Synergy. I finally discovered that on the back of the water heater there is a valve that controls water flow. While Girard says that they deliver their heaters to Thor with the valve fully open, mine was half closed. When I opened it up, my problem was solved. Unfortunately, I discovered this after three trips to the dealer for warranty work and spending $300 on a bigger water pump which still didn't solve my problem when connected to shore water.

SuperD, does that shower head actually use more water or increase pressure by adding air? In my case I'm usually not hooked to city water so I don't want to use more water.

semantics maybe, but just to help you when thinking this problem through....it's not the pressure you are trying to increase....its the flow rate. The heads have flow reducers to save water.

The oxygenics heads or similar have a way to inject air, so the velocity of the water coming out in increased without increasing the flow rate...but it seems like you're getting a lot more water. I highly recommend. I'm glad I changed out my shower head!

Totally agree on the Oxygenics shower head, even with low water pressure you won't notice it in the shower. We've had one on 3 different 5ers in 10 years of fulltiming.

Chiming in about the Oxygenics showerhead also ...

One of the other benefits of this wonderful device is that it truly uses less water, which means that you can enjoy a longer shower and not run out of hot water. I'm actually able to take as long a shower as I want and have all the hot water I need. For someone who treats a shower like her first cup of coffee in the morning, this was a game-changer for me. I've had my Oxygenics through 4 rigs, and would have absolutely nothing else in my shower.

and me too! The Oxygenics was the simplest mod I put on the rig. The only difference is that I moved the on/off button to just under the water spigots and ran the flex hose off of that.

Not really sure if the unit uses less water but certainly not any more. I also moved the on/off button to the wall valves, much easier for my wife to reach.

Yep, that will increase the pressure upstream of the reducer, but lower the flow and the perceived pressure coming out of the shower head.

As many others - the Oxygenics shower head is the way to go...
Simplest and best 'creature comfort' mod I've done.

Only other issue I've had when on city water is a bad regulator - reducing flow too much... Very visible that on board water had much better flow than city...

Otherwise the Oxygenics is an easy one to do.
(replaced the home shower heads with them too in 'new' house.)

The onboard pump used 55 PSI. The standard flow restrictor at Camping World is 40-50PSI. Make sure to buy the hi-flow water restrictor which supplies 50-55PSI.

Very true... mine was a high flow that went bad though... lol
I now have an adjustable so I can see the pressure and change (can't boost unfortunately...)
I now attach it at the RV side of the supply hose - after 'donating' my first adjustable to the next resident of my site...
I'll risk the supply hose in an over pressure situation. It's fully outside the RV.

When I installed my large accumulator, I measured the Pump output dead head pressure, flowing pressure with hot water in shower only, then hot and cold in shower. The dead head was no more than 38, believe it was 36. Running it went down to around 25. (I don't have the actual numbers with me now, but can get them if anyone wants them).
Kinda surprised me because the pump said it's max pressure was 55 psi, so I figured it would put out a little closer to 45 psi dead head.

Agree about getting the High-flow regulator or the adjustable with the guage. the standard 40 psi reg didn't do the job that the pump does.

As far shower head, the first shower I started to take caused me to stop, unscrew the provided head and remove the small plastic disc with 3 very small holes in it, located at the bottom of the shower head. MUCH BETTER! I just need to find a hose swivel connector cause I'm getting tired of fighting the hose tightened at both ends.

After the above discussion with the Oxygenics head, the wife and I will have to look into it.
Just my 2 cents.

Another vote for an Oxygenics shower head. Makes a world of difference.
