A similar one in one bath at home, and a dual head (one fixed, one handheld) in master bath.

I've been thinking about one of these. Are they as easy as unscrew the old one and screw in the new one?

Yes, just that simple. Made a big difference.

To stop this problem get an adjustable"regulator" not that cheapo restrictor. As mentioned earlier those restrictors reduce the "flow" not so much the "pressure". You can find a 3/4" adjustable regulator with hose fittings & a gauge online, they usually come preset at 55 psi which is a good pressure, provided the park has that high. Be sure to always put the regulator on the park spigot before your hose that way your rv & hose are regulated.
Saw a newbie couple put their "restrictor " at the rv, hooked up their hose, turned on faucet, which by the way had 85 psi, an hour later their hose looked like it had swallowed a football before it burst.

I noticed my pressure is weak when using water from the pedestal but much better when using my holding tank

That's because you (hopefully) have a pressure regulator attached to your hose, and it might be need to either be replaced or cleaned out. You can try cleaning it by backwashing it. Sometimes it works ... sometimes not so much.

The regulator is new and I tried with and without it
Try it and see if it is better for you?
