Slide motor

I am looking ordering a spare schwintek slide motor. Seems to be a few choices on amazon. We have a full slide on a 35 ft Miramar. Not sure what’s on there now. Thinking the high torque ones. Wondering if it’s necessary. Any thoughts?

Is there any way to get a part number off of the existing motor?

Had the Challenger with 3 slides and overhead bunk for 5 years and never had an issue with a slide motor or controller.

Expensive spare part to carry around just in case it is ever needed.

Schwintek motors listed as hi-torque are for full wall slides, utilizing the triple track system. The hi-torque motors come with a 500:1 gear reduction and thus move much slower than standard torque motors with the 350:1 gear reduction. If the two series of motors are intermixed the slide will cock when moving. Front bunk and smaller slides all use the standard motors. There is no problem using two hi-torque motors on a small slide but the motors must be the same type to keep the slide from cocking when moving.

Slide motor

Would likely be more from dealer( if I could find one at the time). Sounds like they do fail and we use it in and out a fair bit as we move around a lot.
Bob. It’s cold as hell outside here today so maybe in a few days.
