Smell of burnt rubber from toad

So getting to Vancouver having driven a little over 2k miles I immediately smelled burnt rubber from my 2015 VW. I googled it and found its “normal” since road debree including rubber gets on the toad including the exhaust. Anyone else experience this?

Vancouver... Wonderful place. Just glad I had my electric at the airport though cause it is huge. Everything else was fantastic.

Wow this is perfect timing, we just got back from our trip to Disney and back to Washington state and had the same thing with our Jeep. This puts my mind at ease. This was the first time I noticed it but it was the first trip of 2600 miles round trip
