So Cal 2020 Spring Rally
Well the first So Cal rally was a success. I think we all had a great time. The group decided on a date and wants to come back to Pechanga.
If you have any interest in going please call and reserve your spot now. The girls at the office said there is a car rally in Temecula during the weekend so they are filling up fairly fast.
Pechanga does not ask for a deposit and don't ask for a credit card. All they want is your name and email to reserve your spot. So make your reservation now. You can always cancel if needed
Heres the info: I have site B21 reserved so try to get something close
April 29 to May 4, 2020 Wednesday to Monday.
Come any days you have free. Most likely we will have a group meal each day. You don't want to miss any of them.
Pechanga info:
To make reservations, call 1-877-99-RVFUN (1-877-997-8386)
or 951-587-0484, Saturday - Thursday 8AM - 7PM and Friday 8AM - 8PM.

We're in A13, up under the trees and facing east and no one behind us.
A short walk around the corner.

Goin' back
Thank you Jerry for the great weekend, your efforts are really appreciated. We've already reserved our same site for next April. The car rally folk have taken much of the B section. The Auto Club membership is accepted for a discount also. The venue was a great choice, not just for the casino and being close to the freeway, but it's a good location for day trips.

2020
Pam and I also had a great time. It was very relaxing and good company, considering the fact that most of us didn't know anyone else. Looking forward to the next time in April/May. We went ahead and reserved a week -- got site A-22 Tuesday to Tuesday, figuring we could alter that, as Jerry has mentioned. You do get a bit of a discount for reserving a week, but cards like Good Sam, AAA, or Passport America may be the better way to go.
Regardless, it's a great way to meet new people and relax before we all head out to various summer destinations. I also would like to ditto what Jerry said about Nadine's Korean bbq/teriyaki ribs -- those were awesome!
I can definitely throw an ez-up and table in the back of the toad, but I'm sure we'll work out all those particulars as time passes.
Cheers!
Kent

We had a great time at the last rally and we're looking forward to the to the spring rally. Jerry and Maria did an amazing job pulling this trip together and we have our reservations for spring in B17 again. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Papamo,
I don't think you're going to like getting into a22(if it's the spot we had. Our paperwork says a22)
It's a 7 point turn for the 24.1 to get into it.
They told us they had a 25ft restriction on the site due to that corner it's on.
You'll have plenty of spotters but you'll have to rake your top on the trees across the street. We raked ours at 11'8" height... By about five inches. You'll have to go into the tree/sidewalk by about 6 feet.
If that's not the site we were in and my paperwork is wrong, sorry for the confusion.

Actually, Bill, I think this was the site you had. I REALLY appreciate the heads-up. We'll see what I can get that hopefully won't have that problem. It was good to meet the two of you. I went over in the morning to say goodbye but you had already left.
Thanks again,
Kent

Goodbyes are awkward and always badly timed when everyone is packing out.
We decided communications were easier here on the forum than someone being caught tripping over a 3inch leaky slinky while cussing the chair that won't fold, spouse in the shower, dog barfed on the rug for the first time, all while a semi-stranger is watching(all real and true )
(and we travel light, didn't hook to water or sewer and packing out for us is throwing two chairs and a 30amp cord in the back, so watching some people do all the rituals is mesmerizing, a crowd gathers...the tornado washer goes nuts.... ) )
We had a great time with everyone.

A-22 available. BUT...!!
Thanks to Bill's thoughtful warning, I cancelled site A-22 and booked C-19 instead. Pam may be using a post-surgery walker, so we decided it worked to be as close as possible to the gathering/cooking area (Jerry's site) right across the street. Therefore, if you have a shorter rig, A-22 is now available. The park says max 29 ft -- but I think I agree with Bill that 25 ft should be the max.
Interestingly, when I called the park to cancel A-22 and told them that I had booked C-19 online, she abruptly told me that doing things the way I had done -- without just calling them first -- was going to cost me a $10 fee. I then mentioned that they had booked me in a restricted length site when they already knew the length of our coach. She went silent before stating that she'd make this one-time exception and waive the fee. To have such grace bestowed upon me...it's difficult to put into words

Welcome aboard, Roger! We look forward to meeting you next April. You can spend the time between now and then reading the thread "Jerry's Hurricane mods." Good reading; good people with good ideas. I think it's up to 228 pages now!
Cheers!
