Wow. Wishing you the best. And aren’t you glad we live in an age where these things can happen! Hope your DW is mending too. Are you able to travel yet?

We've made a week's worth of reservations up near Cooperstown around Labor Day. That gives each of us a couple of Months to "get right".

There's no doubt that if this wasn't our "now": they'd have already fitted me for a peg-leg, an eye patch, and a parrot!

Hope your revised trip works out and you have some peaceful healing time. That area of NY is beautiful.

I think I'm hoping to try the pigskin graft this time...

I don't think I'm ready to go to "Terminator hide" just yet...

Hope all heals up fast and complete this time Bob. As the Brits say; "it terribly inconvenient." Understated.
Oh yeah and back on the road again.

Good luck with plan "B" sometimes there is a reason behind these failures - only one guy or girl up there has all the answers. Thoughts and prayers for a wonderful outcome!

Hang in there. As long as there are options there is hope. And lord knows you have a great sense of humor.

Thanks guys! We both remain pretty optimistic.
After all: the wound is getting smaller on it's own... The hope was that the graft would hasten the process.

FINAL UPDATE:
After eight Months; it has finally closed up, and I'm ready to become bi-pedal again.
I've got a picture taken back in April that is NOT for the squeamish, and one taken last evening.
I want to thank everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers: your support did the trick!
